Editors
Our editing staff are an essential and valued part of our organisation. Working in their own homes they have the freedom to complete their assignments when it suits them; any deadlines that we may impose are very reasonable. Editing for us requires a very full working knowledge of the English language. Please do not apply for this post if you do not have that knowledge. Your spelling skills must be of a high standard and knowledge of correct grammar is essential. The ability to carefully read and clarify content when necessary, plus the correction of all errors is what we require. We expect work to be returned to us ready for delivery to our customer without further correction.
Specialist knowledge that you may have on any subject will have been made known to us so that we can send you work that lies within your area of expertise. This is not always possible of course, so you may be reading articles as diverse in subject as holiday location information or stem cell research. Do not worry as we do not expect you to be an expert in everything, sometimes we have to rely entirely on the writer for the correctness and accuracy of the content.
To work for us all that you will need is access to a computer that must have a broadband connection. You will also require the normal personal computer skills. These skills will obviously include working in a word processing programme (we use Microsoft Word).
So if you are perhaps a retired teacher, administrator or a young mother who wishes to earn some money while the children are at school, this work would suit you well.
